Help making train tracks

Hi everyone,

Recently, for my train game, I’ve been struggling to find a way to make lots of train tracks consistently. I’ve tried Spacek’s Track Snap plugin, and it works great, but the tracks, frankly, have little variation and are unrealistic.

Therefore, I was wondering if there was a way to make a small section of track myself and be able to snap it all together in an extensive system while also being able to make turns, S-bends, etc. I was also wondering if there is a plugin for this.

(I know how to use Archimedes and know about Stravant GapFill, but I’m not sure how to use GapFill in this situation.)

If anyone has any knowledge on this situation, that would be great!

Any help is appreciated. Thanks for your time!

So while you might be able to find a plugin it might just be a bigger headache then intended. What you can do is make a simple path and then export those paths to Blender and follow this How to make a procedural Railroad Track in Blender - YouTube - the guy in this video uses a curve to make a train track. After all that you can just export parts of the track to whatever position and you will have seamless turns, S-Bends, etc.
