Help me decide if this is too many parts/textures

So I am doing a build for someone and I can’t decide if this is too many parts (if it looks busy).

I intentionally made the brick H joints and I am ok with the concrete I just don’t know if it looks good

I just feel like its a lot going on

Hi!

First of all, thanks for asking developer forums for help, we try to help as much as new developers for them to get better and learn-

I think it looks fine, to me you’ve done pretty good. There’s a decent amount of bricks and It’s a nice color to look at.

Quick notice, developer forum members recommend not using Gyazo, due to it being a hard use on DevForums.

Nothing wrong with it but it would be a bit difficult and time consuming keeping the same part count consistency all around the build

Something new that I’ve been trying out is using custom textures for essentially everything, so instead of having a brick wall with 20-30 parts I’d have just one part with anywhere from 2-6 textures on it. Not sure how much better it is for performance but it definitely saves a lot of time once you get the hang of it

I don’t care about the time it consumes I was just wondering if it looks bad :stuck_out_tongue:

It looks amazing, and realistic, nice work!

Doesn’t look bad what so ever!

An old trick I used to use is alternating between slate and concrete for the bricks, try it out it just adds and extra layer of variation

Ah ok i will try that out! thanks for the tip.

I do not think its too much at all, it seems like a very good detailed bit. Excellent job. :+1:

If you can keep the rest of the build consistent then this should be good enough.

It look amazing m8, this just looks like very well detailed build.

but in my personal taste it’s missing railings and the small bricks with the lights could go. but as i said before this looks detailed and it for sure does not look bad.

Ok, thanks for the tips! I will add rails soon enough
