I don’t know, the first tree is too messy and the second one is too smooth, I would choose the first one because it has more details.
The first one actually looks somewhat like a tree, the second one looks like a green lollypop.
At first I would of said use the second one because it probably would have less lag BUT looking at the triangle count you provided its actually pretty similar so the first one would look better given there isn’t a big difference performance wise.
In order to give you an informed opinion, could you show us what the established art style is of the game it’ll exist in? Like, you could show us the most realistic tree that looks fantastic, and we’d all vote for it, but it wouldn’t be the best fit if your game has a cartoon style. Asset style doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
Also the 100 polygon difference is acknowledged, but doesn’t sway me from breaking established art direction.
