Help on rendering Roblox character for gfx thumbnail

Hello, a bit of you might recognize me but if don’t its fine by me…

Anyways, as part of me making videos on YouTube part time, I have been wondering on how to actually and properly render a 3d model of a Roblox character in Blender

Now, I’ve done researching videos on YouTube but I couldn’t get a proper guide if I’m being honest…

I hope you guys can help me to give me step by step on how to properly render one…
(I am indeed a true beginner)

Thanks in advance🙂

  1. Step one: Press f12
  2. Congratulations, you have now rendered an image in Blender!

Jk, I doubt that’s the anwser you were looking for. Can you be a bit more descriptive than “How to render a 3d model in blender”? Do you mean the lighting, the actual importing of the characters, or for which part do you require help?

I’d recommend looking at some tutorials on youtube. I’d recommend Xenici or CubeBite.

As for lighting, the most common lighting technique is 3-Point Method for scenes with one main point of interest, for bigger scenes I’d recommend placing lights at your own discretion. I’ve used up to 50 lights in one scene before.

I’m also assuming you’re meaning lighting, which certainly plays a large role in rendering. I tend to just use one big soft light, so I’d look into some tutorials on Blender lighting. It can definitely be a bit finicky and you might need to let the render process longer than you thing to get the desired outcome.

I know that I got pretty grainy renders using Cycles (not sure why), but when using Eevee, I found it was a lot easier and straightforward.

What I meant was, I am curious to know on how to step by step, render a roblox gfx thumbnail, from scratch

Your welcome🙂

Ok 2 things:-
First I did check most of the videos although there about a few which are about older than 2 years by now, but sure I’ll check them out

Secondly, I don’t to be honest understood what those are, I’m sorry btw

If you don’t know what it is, google is the best option. Try googling 3-Point lighting, or Lighting Setups

I’m sorry bro, but I don’t think you get my point, the thing is that, I’m actually learning on how to use blender, so that I can start learning to 3d render and make good GFX out of it…

Thanks with your opinions btw

Basically Roblox GFX Thumbnails is mostly exporting roblox models and importing them into blender and designing them with special effects.

If you’re asking how to export a model from roblox into blender then watch this:
How to import Roblox Studio objects into blender! - YouTube

But if you’re asking how to make gfx thumbnails in blender then that’s a whole different thing. You have to watch blender tutorials and use different art styles.
