Help testing my nextbot shooter!

I am looking for some feedback on my game Run&Gun before I advertise it. All feedback will be read and recommendations will be taken into consideration

Really good game :+1: , I would say say after they die add few seconds of spawn immunity. I kept getting targeted by “blehbluhbleebleebleeh” Jerma after dying :sob: .

Also if you fall off the map it should either kill you right away or tp you. I would say kill just to discourage falling on purpose to save yourself but you can decide.

I will take your suggestions into consideration. Thanks for the feedback!

i uh, found a glitch. I waited for the next round but it never came, it said I was alive by the survival exp but my camera was stuck.

I have been known about this issue and pushed an update a minute or two ago that hopefully fixed it, you can test again or not

Don’t have time to play it right now (will respond again when I can), but looking at the screenshots you provided, I think your UI isn’t the greatest. It looks like the style of a stereotypical simulator UI (not that that is a bad thing, simply that it seems to not fit with your game); I’d recommend making it more stylized for your game.

I do agree, it dosnt fit. I will change the text style to be the same as the rest of the game soon aswell as removing the border

  1. When I joined, the lobby music and the intermission music were playing on top of each other.

  2. When the timer displays at least one minute and a single-digit number of seconds, you should insert a zero so that one minute and one second is formatted as 1:01 and not 1:1.

  3. I found that I’m sometimes able to jump off the map and get the nextbots to follow me off. After they fall out of the world, they don’t seem to be able to respawn.

  4. On the ice map, I found that I could stand on this ledge overlooking one of the nextbot spawns and they wouldn’t know how to pathfind to me. You can even jump across the gap a few times to trick the nextbots into falling down it and trap them.

All of those things have been noted; as for the bugs on the Icecap map, I will look into them

I played a second time purely because I had time to kill, here are my thoughts: Good game! Although, far too easy. I played at minimum 5 rounds and not a single death, although on my last round I did go to 20 hp. Probably increase the amount of nextbots as well for one person (because right now it is 2). Very good game design, I did have my music muted to listen to a custom playlist so no comment on your music, I liked the scoreboard for the most kills compared to last time where it just showed the kills everyone had. ADD MORE COMPACT SPACES!! Not to say to get rid of open spaces, definitely not. If you do not have open spaces then it will be as bad as no compact spaces. That is to say that whenever I got to a compact space (like in the map that I think was a convenience store with the shelves  ) I closed all the doors because I thought nextbots couldn’t get in…they got in and I had nowhere to go (I killed them instead). All the maps details were very cool!

That’s all.

I really enjoyed playing through this game but eventually quickly got bored of it. Maybe add some sort of progression or replayability?

i suggest to nerf the shotgun, as it does full damage on any distance, i only need 4 shots to kill someone

I will keep the idea of progression in the back of my mind, thanks!

I do agree with this, I will nerf the shotgun a little bit

Thank you for playing a second time! about what you said that its too easy, im thinking about adding a second spawn point so that hopefully they will naturally surround you. A question, do you think you would have played longer if there were more people?

I can’t really answer that because I was killing time to get an answer back from someone  .
