Help with a blender glitch

  1. What do you want to achieve? Be able to move the R6 rigs torso without all of it’s limbs coming with it

  2. What is the issue? When moving the torso on blender, it moves the whole body, instead of just moving the characters torso.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? I tried asking discord servers - no one knows, and YouTube doesn’t have any answers - because I assume this is an un-common glitch.

if anyone knows of this bug / knows a fix - if you can, please let me know!

It really depends on the rig. You could re-import it or try a different one.

It’s the normal default roblox R6 rig. Importing again would do the same thing.

Depends how it’s loaded into Blender.
When you select the Torso does it highlight the Torso or the entire rig?

If you’ve loaded 1 mesh into Blender then look in the RH window to see how many meshes there are. If it’s just one mesh then that’s your issue.

I haven’t tried exporting a rig to Blender so I’m not too sure.
When you try to move it what view are you using?

Maybe consider using PaintRigV3?

So there’s two ways you can fix this:

Go into studio and export every separate limb of the rig as it’s own separate file. Then import them into blender and everything should move independently.

OR,

In blender select the mesh and go into edit mode. Right click anywhere and select Separate Individual Peices, you may need to regroup certain parts if they split into too many parts. Simply go back into object mode and select and parts that you want to group and press J.
