I’m currently working on an FPS game very similar to Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Right now, I can’t figure out what I should call my name. I got inspired by Counter Strike: Condition Zero and I wanted to name my game something similar to the “Condition Zero” part, but I quickly found out the meaning of that remixed name is something that might be controversial to some people so now I’m in this situation where I can’t find any good names.
I don’t really want any goofy plays on other existing games like “Counter BLOX: ROBLOX Offensive” or “Insurgency BLOXstrom”, etc. because I feel that putting “Blox” in every nook and cranny is less original and sounds relatively goofy.
Does anyone have any ideas? If so, please leave them down below! I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!
Edit: I tried AI aswell but I came up with some generic names such as “StrikeX” or literally “Modern Warfare”. I got some good ones like “Delta Strike”, but I noticed that names with “Delta” seem to always sound good. I don’t know, should I name the game “Delta Strike”?
Also, I want the name to be somewhat short as I’m not a fan of extremely long names that sound more like a tongue-twister rather than a name. Two or three words for a name would be perfect!
Try describing this same thing to AI and see what AI comes up with, I will send some AI responses and you can see how it goes!
Coming up with a compelling and original name for your FPS game is important to create a strong identity for it. Here are some ideas that are inspired by the essence of Counter-Strike while avoiding any potential controversies and goofy references:
“Strike Zero: Tactical Offensive”
“Tactical Zero Hour”
“Counter Tactics: Global Standoff”
“Critical Strike: World Offensive”
“Operation Vanguard: Global Tactics”
“Frontline Zero: Tactical Warfare”
“Tactical Assault: Global Campaign”
“Operation Nexus: World Conflict”
“StrikeForce: Global Tactics”
“Tactical Alliance: Zero Hour”
Remember to consider the availability of the domain name and trademarks before finalizing your decision. Also, run a quick search to ensure that the name you choose doesn’t conflict with any existing games or brands.
Take your time and choose a name that resonates well with your game’s theme and gameplay. Good luck with your FPS game development!
