I need help on the colors make it so that it kind of matches. Also tell me some things I should do to improve it. Also Im not done with the roof yet.

Thanks!

If you have photoshop or basically any photo editing software, pull up the color picker tool and place it on the color. It should give you 3 numbers, enter those numbers into color which should be somewhere in properties.

I don’t have any editing software :frowning:

Try 236, 234, 237 :slightly_smiling_face:

You’re right, I think the wood is slightly darker than in the picture. Try making the color slightly lighter.

Hello.
There is several things you can try. Which I have listed below. These are things I used but, you can use another program if you wish just like Joombe said.

Color Picker

You can use the Roblox Color picker to pick anything off of any screen by going to the Properties tab, which can be found under the “View” page in Roblox Studio.

Brown Colors Displayed

I have selected all brown colors in Roblox’s BrickColor System, but you can view more of other colors if you like below the chart I have attached a link to view others.

Color Name Number RGB Value

image Earth Orange 25 [98, 71, 50]
Reddish Brown Reddish brown 192 [105, 64, 40]
Rust Rust 216 [144, 76, 42]

image Dirt brown 361 [86, 66, 54]

More Color Codes

There is more color codes then these, at the link I provided below. As I use this all time to compare and it works at times for me.

Hi, good looking build! What you can try to do is make small details a different color than their parent detail (if that makes sense, I’m not sure how to phrase it well). For example, the little vertical studs

can be a slightly different shade than the large piece of wood, and maybe different shades from each other too. Another thing I’d try to do is get a paper/linen-like decal and put that onto a big white wall to add some texture.

sounds good. Im waiting currently making one…

sorry if I didn’t clarify this.

I believe the wood from the reference are mainly two different colors (dark brown and a lighter brown) I think this should be easily distinguishable from your build. I also believe a major factor for it looking off is the absence of lighting. I would test with warms and cool colors with ambience and surface lighting (I think that’s what it’s called). This also needs a skybox which will definitely help out. The final thing is there isn’t anything else in the scene. Adding vegetation, roads, walls, and other stuff will make it feel fuller and complete. It’s also important to have a color palette if going for a very specific theme otherwise just make sure to not keep it too uniform where the build is bland. Ok hopefully this helps good luck on your project c:
