Help with floating part

Hello, I am trying to make a boat ‘float’ on a brick ocean, but I can’t find any methods that would also allow me to use linear and angular velocity to make the boat move and turn. Thanks for any help.

What do you mean by brick ocean?

It’s just a scaled part that’s coloured blue like an ocean

And why would you need to use a brick oean? Can’t you use something else like terrain water?

Terrain water just doesn’t fit the style I’m going for

Just wanted to check in, if you were already aware that with a brick ocean, you should just try and keep a parts position.Y on a zero-vector? (or whatever your ocean layer is on)

Part.Position = Vector3.new(Part.Position.X,0,Part.Position.Z)

I think I’ve tried something like that but I’m not good enough at scripting to make it work
my script didn’t even hold the part up

local boat = workspace.Boat
boat.Position = Vector3.new(0,5,0)

You need to put it in a loop i think…
