Help with map design

I’ve been working on a floor is lava game for a while now. The setting of the game is inside a cheese factory owned by a wealthy cooperation. The lava is not lava, but rather molten glowing cheese. I don’t feel very satisfied with the design of the factory as it stands right now. What are some things I could improve visually with this?

My gut tells me that the glowing cheese could see some deformation, while for an idea maybe there could be a big hanging pot that contained the cheese inside of it? (Could act as a platform to jump on).

That sounds like a really cool idea! Right now the way I have it is that the cheese will pour out of the pipes when it rises. I’ll experiment with that sort of idea as maybe a replacement for what I have right now.

Also, how would you suggest I do the deformations for the cheese?

You could try using simple wedges as the neon’s effects should be able to smoothen them out.

I ended up making the cheese build up along the walls. How does it look?
