Help with misaligned part

Is there a way to fix parts that horribly misalign? i.e. in the image shown below

I have tried the dragger, but it just moves the problem to the other side. It stands out very well. Is there a snap along part checkbox that I can’t see or anything, or is there no way to fully fix this issue? It always happens,

Click both parts and then click on the Align Tool near the pivot tool.

use resize align, if the parts have bad size alignment, OR take the answer of post 2
