After installing the plugin Tool Grip Editor (Tool Grip Editor - Roblox), watch this video

Positioning tools and grips in Roblox is unnecessarily difficult without plugins, atleast in my experience.

Can you tell how to do it without the Plugin?

What you have to do (without the plugin) is basically just fiddle with the positioning values under the Tool instance.

Thank you.
It’s weird how the orientation of the tool grip works since there’s many xyz’s.

No problem :happy3:

Yea, that’s why the plugin is a big time saver.

Well, it cost 5 robux but I don’t have any robux. I used to have it when it was free.

Ohh I see, that’s unfortunate. Maybe there’s an alternate option?

I am using a 1x1x1 stud as handle. The parts are attached to it so I don’t need tool grip I guess.
I don’t know if it’s a good or a bad thing.

I don’t see why that wouldn’t work as long as CanTouch, CanCollide are false and the part is anchored. Pretty smart solution if you ask me.

is there any other plugin other than the tool grip editor which can be used for the positioning of the tools ?

What’s the problem with CloneTroopers grip editor?
It does everything you’d need in a grip editor.

Edit: Oh it’s paid. I got it before when it was free.
