Guys, I want to achieve reflection in open environments. I used future lighting, put car material in smooth plastic and put the reflectance in 0.01.
I got this, but in closed environments:
I tried to reproduce that effect in open environments, so I put a city free model to test but…
The effect did not appear… So, does anyone know how I can achieve this effect?
The reflections only really work in enclosed spaces sadly, there probably is some hacky way to do it, but im not too sure.

Try to remove the catshadow.
It has to be like this:

Your car is in a shadow in the second picture, what happens when it is in the light?

I don’t think it works outside of indoor spaces. I believe Roblox generates a reflections map thing indoors (with some weird setting I forget), and outdoors it uses the sky box (in your case that’s a smooth gradient sky).
Edit:
Found the article about this feature:
The indoor reflections don’t always work, I had to purposely take pictures of the interior and then place them as a skybox to make it work. How do I fix that?

Edit:
This also might help:
Do not use reflectance
Reflectance is legacy and we are not planning on supporting it with env maps. If you use reflectance you won’t be able to to see env map.
Well you kinda could if you blow up exposure as many did over here. Bottom line:
If you want to use env map, use material service and metallic object
why you had to crank up brightness. You do not need to do that
