Hello, I have a render and I made it to have a transparent background. I save it as a png or a jpeg, and whenever I bring it up, the background is black. I can clearly see the transparent stuff in the render, but on the image I dont.

What application are you opening the photo in?
Regular photo opener, photoshop, and even the browser
post the png please bc i downloaded this image and it was a jpg

Ye, sorry, it was a screenshot, this time i downloaded it as a jpeg

jpeg images don’t contain an alpha channel (transparency). You will need to save it as a .PNG file.
you need to render as a png not a jpeg

simple!
go to output properties (printer icon) and scroll down to output > File Format : PNG and set color to RGBA

Can’t believe it was THAT hard to figure it out though.
I cant imagine a builder having trouble with a separate category that isnt his expertise
