I’m making a subway for a horror game and I want to know how could i could make it look good, what materials to use for floors, walls, etc. I’ve been stuck trying to figure out what I want it to look like and most of the time it comes out looking pretty ugly.
I have it set up to where i can use both pre-2022 materials and post-2022 materials, now that I’m thinking about it I guess I’m kind of going for the modern Arsenal look
Right now i’ve kinda got the structure of the subway
Most of decorations seem to be missing, something like metal benches or fake ads would give a bit more touch to the subway.
As for materials; I’d suggest you use materials which are consistent. You can see by some images that the texture are either tiles or concrete. This is up to your liking.
Also most subways contain a yellow strip, which might be dotted, at the edge of the platform.
I also suggest adding some staircase going up, either in the hallways to the right or some that you can see along the path (see image below).
like i said this isnt fully finished or anything I only created the structure of the subway but thanks for the feedback I’ll find some image on google!
Like @yoshicoolTV, if you want a realistic subway (but still horror) make elements dirty or broken. The rails could be occasionally shooting out sparks, the tiles have cracks in them/aren’t clean, seats are broken, etc. I would recommend using the Corroded Metal material + custom subway extures to give it a horror look.
The subway will kinda be the intro so I wasn’t gonna do anything with the horror themes but I’ve got a design down that I like, I’ll add props and decorations in a lil but i got the hard part done.
Definitely gonna make it look a lot less bland soon
