Hiring | Short Term Programmer

About Us

Hello, Roblox DevFourm. My name is CarlPlandog, I own and run a UK Railway driving game on Roblox called “Destination: Benford”. I have a select team of developers (around 6) who are actively helping to get the game developed.

The Team
@Eddiefan336 - Train Developer
@BuiIdTheBuilder- Map Developer
@Rock_HBRF- Train Developer
Me - Main Scripter

You can see our progress so far here: https://www.roblox.com/games/462804186/Destination-Benford

About The Job

I’m quite a good programmer myself. However recently a number of ideas have been proven impossible due to my lack of knowledge and I thought why not hire someone to give them a job? I’m looking for a programmer who is confident in:

Region3
Part Animation (e.g. Doors)
BodyVelocity (preferred)
Vehicle Sound Scripting

A little bit of Railway Knowledge (preferred)

Payment

As the programmer required is short term, they will receive 1500 R$ upon the completion of their first script + 25% of the weeks profit. After this it will be 50% of all profits + 500 R$. I have to be careful with money because of my other developers.

Other Perks

In game, the programmer will receive:
Free Gamepasses
Ability to drive not yet added trains :open_mouth:
and Admin

Thanks for reading! :slight_smile:

Hate to be that guy but, you should consider lowering the amount of people you hire.Typically, the more people you have, the less organized this could be which leads to a lack of actual development. Wish you the best of luck.

We only have four really. My train devs just build a model and thats it lol

Don’t you think 50% of all profits is a bit too much, and I thought it was a short-term programmer? Seems interesting and I would apply if i could code.

Yeah well the scripts are quite complicated so… it felt right.

Well, you have 6 devs (now 7) and one person gets 50%? That seems a bit too much especially because you’re the main programmer. I suggest giving 60% for 2 weeks, and then cutting ties. Or, till they finish what you need.

You should look into hiring a UI designer. Your UIs kind of threw me off the game.

We’re getting them revamped. It’s part of a new update, that’s why I’m hiring.

And I don’t have an overly big budget.
