As of now, I’ve been seriously considering/thinking about adding these two specific things that I really hope can make the game better. Here are them:
Hit-scan or Projectile?
My game (will not be named because I STILL haven’t thought of a name for it smh) has guns in the game, in which the guns, obviously fire bullets!
…But!!!
Recent playtesting with projectile-based bullets showed it difficult hit people when you’re so used to hitscan systems instead of projectiles. Since my game is primarily a Cartoony/Comedic artstyle game, I’ve been thinking:
projectile bullets are realistic and perhaps a hitscan bullet system would better fit my game…
So yeah, I’ve come to you guys. Any feedback/arguments are appreciated :))
Are Discord links/invites allowed in ROBLOX games?
Since my game will be sort of based around a community faction system, I’ve decided to implement a billboard-purchasing system, similar to that of those recruitment center games. I’ve also thought about allowing the player to insert a discord invite link with it, to make it easier for players to join the said faction.
This has raised a lot of concerns about the moderation process and Roblox’s acceptance of Discord invites.
I’ve seen games that have discord links in them, and they’re still alive and well! (Some front page games have it too!)
So anything relating to this topic will be very helpful, and possibly an answer. Thank you for reading!
The answer is a definite no. You cannot have Discord links or references anywhere within a game. They’re only allowed in social links through configuring your game as they’re hidden for users under 13.
Just because someone else does it doesn’t mean it’s okay. It doesn’t change the fact that it is against the rules. The front page game you’re talking about shouldn’t have Discord links in them.
Discord links are NOT allowed inside the game itself. Limitless RPG is one front page game that was taken down for having direct discord links. I have also been warned for it. You are allowed to put a “social code” and include just the letters for the code, but not to call it a Discord code or to provide any sort of link. The rules are very unclear and it is better to not take any risks.
That is what I was told was allowed after my warning. Just can’t mention that it is a Discord code in any way either. I would advise not using discord at all for a system like this because the Roblox moderators have a history of moderation actions for edge cases.
