You may have heard of this before, but I just wanted to show Alan and Andrew and any other staff members that are interested in it.

please no

Can you please elaborate? I’m not a fan of zingy posts here.
If you have any constructive criticism, please do not hesitate to comment it out here.

Basically, if you take into account the audience of roblox, it’s just not a good idea to let them all know that a tool like this exists.

They can still do the same with bricks. So I don’t see the problem

Thing is, there’s already a history for this kind of thing causing problems. It’s not worth the moderation effort.
Ask nikilis about it if you don’t believe me

I do not doubt certain users exploited this feature. The benefits can outweigh the consequential “Increase of moderation”. It’s the mods jobs to take care of that sort of thing, so let them do what they’re paid for.

If you give every kid a gun, what do you expect to happen?
I’m not saying to take down the tool, but I really think you shouldn’t put it on the blog or anything like that.

I argued this point many times before, and I understand where you’re coming from. Perhaps some sort of moderation pre-approval tool will be added in the future.

I expect most people will not do anything wrong with it, as 99% of people do not commit crimes [intentionally].

except inserting inappropriate imagery is not a crime.

If it’s child inappropriate… Or child imagery then…

I’ve been using ImgBrick for years now and would very much like to see it featured on the blog.
It’s a really neat and useful extension and I think it’s worthy of that sort of highlight.

…and to all of you arguing that “ROBLOX can’t support this cuz kiddies will abuse blah blah”: there’s nothing you can do about idiot kids.

ROBLOX is kid-friendly.
The kids aren’t kid-friendly.

This irritates me. It’s just like saying ‘The janitor cleans up the place so just throw your trash on the floor and let the janitor do what he’s paid to do.’ It’s disgusting to see that kind of mentality, especially as an argument in favor of something.

Some of the other arguments in this thread are just as pathetic as the above. They neither support your cause nor degrade the other’s cause. They’re just stupid statements that imply things that aren’t even true.

That said, I think this would be a cool addition to the blog. However, I can see people abusing this for inappropriate images. But it is very similar to the ‘puzzle porn’ we experienced a while ago. If people want to upload inappropriate content, they WILL find a way no matter what. You can’t change that.

True true. But breaking a TOS is a crime.

I was not implying that at all. I would hate to give the moderators a large increase in image moderation, but I know a lot of bad images are uploaded each day anyway. What you said in your post makes it seem like ImgBrick has no use at all, which Merely agrees with as well. However, as you can see on this thread, HanSolo has been using it for years! And I’ve seen multiple users take advantage of creating pixel precise GUI animations, which helps with a lot of things (such as cutscenes)
Hopefully you understand.
