Hello! I am the owner/lead scripter for the game me and my friend are working, this game is in work and you may expect some bugs but I just want some suggestions how to make it better and stuff and how you liked it.

About the game story

You are playing as a character called “Eric Eastwood” who is currently off job and goes to “vacation” in winter because he had to work in summer, on his way to the motel his car broke down somewhy… He started to hallucinate half way to the motel and passed out. After he passed out a man found him and take him to the motel.

Although I cannot play this, from the looks of the game, It looks like it could really be a popular hit!

Thank you! btw there is more to the story, this game needs a good computer but I am trying to make it less laggy for low computers.

Right off the bat I find a few issues

also it’s raining yet their are no clouds in the sky.

It look good but for slow PC the game is sooo laggy

To fix the lag you will probably need to re-do all of the tree’s as they seam to be the primay cause of it

Yeah, I know as I said alot of times I will try to make it not laggy. I think the problem is with the trees as people say.

It tried to teleport me to a restricted place. I feel games on the devforum are being targeted… Sounds like a cool game though

Seems like a cool game ! Here is a list of things to work on or change (just my opinon, feel free to take it or not ! :slight_smile:)

  • I received an error saying it tried to teleport me to a restricted place, weird
  • Please enable the option ignoreguiinset for all your screen UI, I hate when the top of the screen is cut
  • I had to spam click play on the chapter 1 to get teleported, idk if it’s because it didn’t register or it took time, but make something visible saying that you have clicked on it and that you are being teleported (just a small loading text or smthing like that)
  • The text goes too fast, i couldn’t read it all, maybe ask for a click to go to the next text? Or make the time to read a bit longer.
  • seems like there is a bit of problem with the lighting and the trees, don’t know if it can be fixed tho
  • I tried to take the lamp/battery but couldn’t, i clicked on it, pressed random keys, nothing happened :confused:
  • seems like there is some errors in your code

  • some trees are flying

  • make the leaf of the trees non collidable, and use a simple part if you need to make collision (could reduce lag)
  • there is some invisible parts on the path with cancollide on
  • I went the opposite direction at the start (show the way you need to go, with a slight effect, or block the other path)
  • Is this intended ?

  • you are slow, real slow, add a sprint or speed up the walking
  • So umh I don’t really know what I had to do so i wandered around and reached the edge of the map, is it because i couldn’t pick up the lamp and the next event stopped working ? Maybe ? idk!

That’s all i can say for now since i never reached a motel :slight_smile: but i really like the environement and the effects are very smooth too ! Will definitely replay it when more stuff are fixed :slight_smile:

It’s very simple, either filter workspace with ‘script’ and remove all the unwanted scripts or remove a plugin

No there isn’t I was just testing the code and I just left it there.

It makes the screenUI start from the top of the screen, ignoring the ± 40 pixels of the chat icon and rblx icon.

Those 5 seconds were enough for me to think smthing broke ! I recommand adding a small text saying teleporting/loading, well it’s not necessary tho

Tell me when you finished the game and i’d be gald to test it again ! :smiley:
