I have started the development of a horror game called Creeps. I am not telling the full story because I don’t want anyone to steal it. But I will tell you, my progress.
Although I can tell you a little about it:
It’s a game about a Neighborhood that has been abandoned, so your curious selves try to go inside but are met by monsters stopping you from leaving. That’s all I can say.
Here is My Progress, (Please note: I am a beginner dev, and a Solo dev, so If my work is bad, please don’t start hating it. )
We all begin at the starting line right? It’s great that you began learning how to build your own game, by yourself, no matter how bad you are at building or scripting or anything. Just have some patience and you will soon get there, just like all of us
Well, let me be of your assistance. Turn on auto smooth and also, you are going to need a texture to unwrap. So you can go into Gimp and draw the texture, that’s what I do. Texture unwrapping is just like, you use an image, and paste it on the little squares of your object.
These are 2 things I recommend learning atm. How to texture unwrap and auto-smooth.
Tip for blender have a picture of what your tryng to model on your screen while you model it, trust me it will improve the result. Also How long have you been a dev for?
Hey there, I’ve been a modeler for a few years and never thought about modeling a syringe before. I saw that yours was a bit troubled and wanted to try and model one myself.
(Recently I’ve dove into coding, if you want to get a real syringe effect, separate it into two parts. The body and the push needle. That will make your life easier)
Of course! Two main keybinds will make life so much easier: Ctrl + E (extruding from the axis without affecting other polygons) and Ctrl + B (Bevels the object, giving it a small curve on whatever face of vertex you’ve applied it to.) I mainly used a cylinder, which felt like a crime against humanity lol, and worked from there.
EDIT: Ctrl + Shift + B works on vertexes, the small independent points, Ctrl + B works on faces and edges, just to clarify!)
Everyone starts somewhere. If you ever get stuck or don’t grasp how something functions, I recommend using the Blender Manual it includes all the shortcuts and basics to help improve your overall knowledge and skill. Blender Manual
I wouldn’t recommend adding syringes to the game as its part of the roblox TOS but you could make someting similar that doesn’t envolve anything with a syringe
