Horror Lab | Roblox

Hello developers! I’ve been working on this build for 2 days now, and I figured it was time for the community to give their input on it. If you could answer these questions below, that would be a huge help for me!

love the detail

I don’t “dislike this” but im curious to what the orb does at the top of the machine 0)0

It’s made to zap people to past it.

Is there a place I can check out by myself, awesome work by the way!

I personally like the eerie and dark vibe it gives off, it reminds me a lot of a Horror game (DEVOUR, to be exact) so well done on conveying that in your build.

I’m either stupid or blind, or both, but I personally can’t see any light sources for these:

I also think the pattern in which the books on the bookshelves are laid out is a bit repetitive, you could try alter it.

This might also be me, but there is a constant use of slate bricks on the walls, floors and ceiling, I think those things could be altered and made a lot more interesting.

Other than that, awesome job, I look forward to seeing the finished product. :slightly_smiling_face:

thats the point of a dark room

What’s the point of light being there if there’s no actual light source?

There are light sources. They are just covered by the darkness of the room.

My weakness. :weary:

Ahh right, so I am blind then lol. Are you able to give those specific light sources a bit more light to themselves?

You could also do a cool effect with Particle emission, where there is a ray of light coming onto those tables.

I thought you meant something else
what came in my head was “why is the table dark”
sorry read that wrong

Possibly. It would be a little tricky though.

It just needs a bit of neon (slightly transparent) and a slight PointLight effect to make them stand out.

Its too dark, but that just adds to the aesthetic. there should be more light reflection off the walls and everything (i think its called volumetric lighting). to add more creepiness what you could do is add dead people and a monster except i don t think you should do that. intense detail, its a great build. I love it.

  1. What do you like about the build?

Epic lighting and attention to detail, and just overall build quality.

  1. What do you dislike about the build?

The books seem oddly repetitive.

First off this is amazing I love it I hope I could get as good as you because I do not even know if this is Roblox anymore. This looks like I am in the banned myth game realism.

I do not dislike much but I would have added some beakers (If there was I didn’t see) and you should also try to make it less repeating on the bookshelves.

Keep up your good work and remember this: “Do not give up and instead persuade your dreams to be the best you can be”

The build is great. I really like the texture on the flooring along with the device giving off light emphasizing it as the focal point and the pipes on the ceiling.

It just might be because I’m sitting in the sun and I’m using light mode, but it’s difficult to see a lot of the build. Perhaps adding lights that are a dark gold/brown color around the edges could fit what you’re going for while everything else is visible.

I like the eerie mood about it, with the big lazer orb thing in the middle I get a weird mad scientists. You only took 2 days to make this which is amazing! Currently one of my big struggles is procrastination

Nothing really is disliked by me, besides the fact that the giant orb is powered by a single cord (from what I can tell.) It might be better to have cords all spread around to make it seem more impressive.
