Hotel Lobby - How Can I Improve?

Hi guys, how can I improve this hotel lobby for a commission? I’ve been told it looks ‘weird’ and ‘doesn’t look good’. How can I improve it? Any ideas what I can do to fill in those empty spaces in the third picture btw?

Thanks.

A little bit more furniture and detail.

So #1 your ceilings are way too low. Think of all the hotels you’ve been in. Most nicer ones have decent ceiling height. I’m not saying make it an atrium, but maybe add some more height. Also, there is way too much open space. Add some more things like furniture, suitcases, or luggage dollies. For reference, look up some pictures on the internet of hotel lobbies which should help. If you want to pull off a low poly build that’s also detailed with textures and whatnot, you really have to fill the space and not make it too bland or too extreme. Hope this helped. Good luck!

I think it’s best if you ask the person that hired you. They’re not really helping with calling it: ‘‘weird’’. They should know what they want, so you should ask them for constructive criticism.

Maybe make the couches less big, Its very spacy and could use details and more furniture | And one thing i know of is most devs rush on bookshelves or are just bad at them! Yours looks good but can be less thick on the outside maybe and make the books a little smaller and detailed

Looks good but the roof feels a little too low and it looks a little bit too spacey and needs a little more details. Otherwise everything looks great :+1:

It looks good but some details must be added like -

  • Tree should not be in the front of fireplace
  • Improvement in furniture details
  • Roof (as everybody said)
