Hotel map feedback

Hello! Working on an early version of the Hotel level for my game (Cleanup Crew 2) and I need some feedback. I’m going to add carts, other props, and obviously doors and rooms.

I want the hotel to feel fancy but also messy, because the style of the game is mainly cartoony.

e.g should I change the patterns of the carpet/wall? what paintings should I add to other floors? any prop ideas, or ideas for the various rooms?

For reference, here’s another level from the game:

the roof doesn’t fit with the map, the lights at the walls feel repeated (add more variety), also these rounded lights on the roof also don’t fit with the theme. In my opinion, i don’t like that roblox icon pattern of the carpet, but okay. Otherwise, good j*b on this, it already looks really good!

alright, how should i add more variety with the lights then?

how? it’s just a solid color

well, i don’t know abtou the roof, it just looks off with the materials used in the floor or wlals, take a looak at doors for example, the lights are more obvious, you put some lights that go to that classic theme, and then you put thees lights that go to the more modern theme.

I really like the look you’ve achieved! I think the wall lanterns could be spaced more to decrease their frequency.

alr, i redesigned the lights on the walls and it looks better

Hotel? Trivago

I don’t see anywhere to hide the body how am I supposed to beat this level? Not that I was going to beat it anyway if anything I would throw the run on purpose

Small building technique but you could also break up the wall to ceiling transition with an indent similar to the wooden divider on the floor to wall, as well as utilize pillars on either side to add depth instead of a flat corridor.

Lighting wise not sure if it’s intentional but also reducing the range/angle of some lights to focus near light sources could make a more realistic and dynamically interesting scene instead of a flat range across the whole hallway.

i havent actually added anything yet :sob: theres gonna be a lobby and like 3 more floors

where could i put the pillars? they might get in the way since the hallway is pretty small

Wide hallway
