Hey, so I’ve been working on this hotel game recently and I just finished the first 2 unlock-able hotels. Some feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.
The yellow is very bright. I would add some trees, sidewalks, parking lot etc. Although it does look pretty good. Looking forward to seeing the final product.
Your hotel, looks quite good for the start, Like all the details you added to it. But there seems to more details to add to improve it a lot more. Here is a couple of things to add/change on your hotel!!
Hotel
The hotel is very clean and well done, however it seems you only have one color onto the hotel itself. I would suggest you add a different kind! of color to your hotel to look more better. And make the side window frames more out. As they look a little to small, and you could add some small windows on the side of the building. And different details to the roof part like some chairs, tables, couches, ect. To fill it up a bit more and the style your going for!! As you can see below hotels have a lot of details added to them, and you could maybe change the. Color to look more decent and more larger!!

Hotel Door
As i said above the hotel. Doesn’t have that much details added to it and the front area! as it looks a little empty. You could add some details to it to look more decent, like some bushes, potted plants, grass, fountain, ect. And you should add the name of what the hotel is called so people can know!! And give the front area a little more detail as showed below…

Details
As @C0_le said above you could you could. Add in a parking lot, or a place to put cars, and buses, That could be for decoration. For the hotel and you could add different details in the back area such as a pool, patio chairs, umbrella, ect. To fill up the hotel overall! you have done a great job…!
Like your build, you have done a great job on your hotel. Hope to see the final build soon!
It looks pretty good so far, for suggestions, you should add some roof decor, such as AC’s, air duct, etc. But previously stated, I suggest you add a parking lot, and some plants and such for decor aswell. Good job!
I feel as if the present size makes it resemble a motel rather than a hotel. Personally I believe the build isn’t polished enough for an in depth review however I’d highly recommend taking @jordonh23’s suggestions into consideration throughout the planning phase.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am currently working on the final product. I make sure to share it once it is done.
Two things I can think of:
-
The windows are extremely bright (others have mentioned the walls too).
-
The entrance to the hotel should probably be a little fancier, as many hotels have some sort of a double-door entrance.
Hey BaconMMine,
It looks like your using hotels in some kind of tycoon style, being able to unlock new properties and such. For that approach I think your building is quite successful, because gameplay in those types of games can follow any style and theme with successful execution.
However, from the perspective that you want your hotel to be grand, beautiful, and a tourists dream:
Entrance
The entrance to a hotel is everything! Its the first impression and it needs several things. First it needs a ‘big wower’! You could take the moreton in santa monica for example with their historic tree right at the entrance:
You also need double doors hands down for any luxury hotel, accompanied with ballet and road for guests to check in to.
Windows
There should be at least 2 window types for general complexity. But taller windows often signify higher luxury as well. I would also add balconies in your more high-end designs
Setting
This may not apply to you considering your gamestyle, but hotels benefit the most off of how they utilize their location. Here’s a reference of a hotel company that has several properties in several locations, and how their design is focused at each spot:
