After people hated my last game, I am going to try to make a new one.
here’s what I’m starting with:
What should I add to this? Does it look okay?

some different materials would be nice. Also, the roof needs some less overhang.
One last thing is the structure of the build is very plain just a block with a roof nothing cool.
It’s boring, there’s no details on it at all. maybe give the door some detail and not have it be a recolored wall.
If you just give up that game after people say they don’t like it, then they aren’t going to like this next one either. If your old game had a good idea then keep working on it, keep improving it until people start to like it. If you start a new project and do just 1 hour of work then post it people obviously aren’t going to be impressed. Don’t ask for feedback after spending just 10 minutes on a house. Instead of trying to have the community hold your hand and walk you through making a game, do as much as you can by yourself first.
When I picture “Cartoony” I imagine something with a lower poly style and less use of texturing. I also would suggest to make it more out of the ordinary. When putting together something that is cartoon based it should stick out more than just some regular old house, change up the dimensions rather than making it a solid squared base and roof. Give it more rounded and mixed size windows. Perhaps if you’re going to want it look like wood add in some planks here and there rather than using the plank texture.
I think I should change the title to just house feedback, thanks for the feedback though!
Also what should I add rather than changing it?
When it comes to a house if you’re looking to add more detailing to it consider adding foliage to the surrounding of it, a bush or two possibly. Take into considering as well that not every house exactly two windows on it, most have windows on the sides and the back, not always two either could be just one on the front, two on one side, two in the back, ect. If people are going to be able to see the house from every angle trying adding the same effort to the back side as well. Maybe a back door, a walkway to the door in the front. If you want to have more dimension maybe a driveway on the side and a connecting garage. Some ideas is all, make it pop and never stop! Keep up the work!
Okay to everyone who commented on my post, I finished some levels in the game and here it is: Dune Buggy Driving - Roblox
Like BeanGuru said, adding foliage around it would be nice! To keep to the cartoony look, maybe some simple flowers and bushes with a stone pathway!
I suggest changing the materialistic part to this build to all plastic! It will fill that “cartoony” feel you are going for!
This is better than the first version but I think the materials of the walls should be changed.
Simple house , it could be 10x better in terms of blueprint and textures.
I mean it’s not looking realistic either or your objective is like low poly thing?
You are a beginner?
Nice, this is a big improvement to your first picture.
Depending on the style and theme you’re going for if you’re wanting to strive, for a more cartoony feel try including additional details corner bricks, door window sized properly - bricks placed on parts of the house.
However, since you change the material to have realism you should pick proper materials as everything seems quite placed in random areas. Try making the window have a plastic material, with a nice tone color It would be much better to have a few images by your side. Include a npc to have a correct door dimension.
Add more details to the exterior walls of the house, the materials used for certain parts of the house make it feel unrealistic. Otherwise, there are small improvements that could still be made!
Yes I am a beginner. This isn’t my first game though.
