House [Project]

So I read that I’m not allowed to ask how much things can be bought/sold for on the forum (considered spam), so I had to edit this post a bit. But of course, that’s ultimately the point of the post.

Hello! I spent several months on this project, and I’m curious on how much it could hypothetically sell for. Apart from the house and its furniture, there are working lights and a day/night cycle (so they have some use.)

I’ve looked at other posts related to this topic but they were all made through blender / had no interior. This project was entirely built on Roblox Studio.

The only FM’s that I used were the mattresses and pillows for the bed and the light bulbs for the night lamps (since I don’t work with meshes). Some might think the books are FM’s as theres a bookshelf model that comes with similar-looking books, but I did make them.

Feedback is encouraged!

Very nice! If I were you, I’d learn some of the basics of Blender, just so you can make the FM’s yourself. Those things could be made in a matter of minutes, depending on how detailed you want to make them. At least that way, you could say it’s 100% made by yourself.
If you like, I could send links to good Blender Tutorials? If you ever get stuck with something in Blender, you can always ask ChatGPT how to do something too. It’s not just helpful for code.

Tbh, it doesn’t matter that they’re free models since it’s only those little things. I can’t even answer the question either (sorry), as I’ve never bought assets before. Very good work though!

Hi @UberQuest, those Blender tutorial links would be very helpful. I’ve attempted working with Blender before but I didn’t have the patience for it. I appreciate your input on this post too!

The house looks amazing! Not sure how much would it sell for tho, it really depends. But, I’m not sure if you wanted feedback, but I can say that this house looks like one of those houses that are up for sale. I’m not sure if that’s the look you’re going for. But, here is an example.

This room looks very empty, and this is good for the minimalistic style, yet I suggest adding possibly a sofa, carpet, and some photos on the wall. This will give the feeling that this is a house that people are living in. Of course, you can play around and see what works best with your vision and project.

Another thing I wanted to point out is that the colors are AMAZING, but the lighting is ruining some of the screenshots, for example, the laundry room Not sure, but you can see that by making the lights a bit darker it captures the essence of the laundry room, and make sure that light is the one controlling the room, not the skybox.

The last thing I wanted to point out is that if there are 2 bunk beds in this room, then naturally there must be 2 desks that can accommodate 2 people. The colors of this room are amazing, and this room is my favorite something about it is lively, but to capture that more, you can color the bedsheets blue for example, or add more posters, or photos that capture the essence of the people who live within this house.

Of course, I’m not sure what you’re going for, this is a great house, the walls are amazing, and the exterior is just downright impressive! Also, don’t shy away from reference photos they are lifesavers! Good luck!

No problem! This one is very popular among beginner Blenderers, you don’t have to do the whole thing, but it’s definitely handy if your contemplating a future in 3D modelling:

This one is my personal favorite, he goes a bit fast, but he still explains all the shortcut / hotkeys he presses. I was surprised by how much this one taught me:

Finally, this one is a page I recently found and saved on Facebook. It’s full of tips and tricks I wish I knew sooner:

Good luck with it, and again, great job with the house!

Hello @Wrvel !

I totally agree with the points you made in your reply and I’ll take them into account when I go back to update it. I can appreciate your eye for detail, you mentioned some things I didn’t even notice as I was making the house. I’m glad you like the house and the colours!

Thank you again for the insights my friend. Maybe after updating it, it could potentially sell for more lol.

Thank you @UberQuest, that’s very helpful.

I appreciate the compliments and your help in giving me the resources to get rid of the FM’s lol! I’ll watch these videos and try replacing the FM’s with my own meshes. Much appreciated my friend.

Anytime! Much respect for receiving criticism well. Something I must work on myself! :joy:

Haha, typically I don’t take it well either, but I know I’m nothing special when it comes to building so I try to learn from everyone in any way I can!
