Hello everyone, Ruski here! I was one of the lead map designers (along with the rest of the team which I’ll link bellow) for the 6th annual Bloxy Awards and would love some feedback and your honest opinions on the event as a whole.
I don’t want to go into a big rant about the development process and all the neat features like the dynamic weather, sick dance moves, how it took me hours to get the theater seats symmetrical… ummm well yeah you get the point…
A few key things we where aiming for was fluid maps, easy-to-follow instructions and layout so players don’t get lost, and overall user experience to make them feel apart of the event and, of course, stay and have fun!
Hi, StairsReviewer here. I dislike the railings on these stairs, like really bad. Have for a long time. Aside from that though, really beautiful build.
The Non-Alcoholic Sodas that boost currency are a bit wack in my opinion. Especially considering the currency doesn’t have all that much value in my opinion. You can always server hop for more, and half the server I was in the currency didn’t work anyways. Seat Prices this year were a bit steep, but my understanding was there was less seats than ever, so.
Was constantly sending bugs to Spooks. Enjoyed the Terio Easter Eggs as well. (One of the biggest Terio Easter Eggs was that the game wasn’t free of bugs. )
Did find the invisible walls in the outside area to be a bit weird. I guess it makes it take longer to walk around and pick up the tickets but still. Idk. Strange to me.
Probably my favorite Bloxy, aesthetically speaking, however that game itself is completable in under a half hour so then it just becomes a hangout more than anything else. Also it’s been really fun dealing with people thinking I can summon Trus, Ash, and Spooks at any given moment, or believe that me myself, am a Developer of the game. (Apparently people have been going through Spooks & Ash’s friends lists to find friends who are playing the Bloxy’s and joining on them…)
Keep up the solid work. Hopefully one of these days, my name will be on one of the tables.
I absolutely love that you’ve implemented some form of procedural sky/clouds. It’s a small attention to detail but I was surprised as to how much of a difference it has made to the Roblox environment.
Other than that, I’m deeply in awe at the dedication that you people put into events like these. It’s an incredible commitment and I hope that you realise that you are all making Roblox an amazing place
My understanding is the stars are supposed to be the current players in-game but sometimes it Oofs. WoodReviewer is the only star that is supposed to not change.
