had to move the topic due to it getting flagged, sorry. It is now in Game Design Support.
As a new member to the Devforum, I don’t know if your aloud to say things like gore or violence but this is my questions…
I am making a horror game and am taking a lot of inspiration in horror games outside of Roblox. Games outside of Roblox have more… “creative” freedom, so… What is the worst you think a Roblox game could do before getting deleted?
I mean. Mortem had a lot of blood and gore but they removed the gore like organs and stuff and made the blood option off by default. But I think the limit is just part removing or cutting and normal blood.
Yes, the things like organs is another thing I was thinking about. Thank you, I will keep that in mind.
Some things like that just make a game interesting as well too…
Well I am making a game myself too based around FNAF. It’s based around horror and comedy, basically having the player jumpscared and then laugh.
But in the sense of gore. It really depends.
I remember lots of FNAF fan games (roleplays or not) having the character springtrap. If you don’t know him, his story is basically this: He’s the murderer of several children and then dies horribly and brutally in a spring lock suit (a suit that can be used by a human or be on animatronic mode). They feature the corpse a lot as in doing the thing he does with showing his dead face.
I’d say rules can be inconsistent sometimes. (Ruben Sim)
Have you seen the cirrus trip, the whole voice acting and meshes were outstanding, Im thinking that any game allows blood, screams, deaths, gore, jump scares, horror music, and organs. It really depends on how much you added.
Often times Roblox takes actions on games with too much gore or too much realism placed within it. Some games get removed if there is too much blood without the option to remove it.
The problem is, some horror games really get a good feeling across if they do involve gore. I’m not saying all horror games that are successful involve splattered organs, but some games such as Amnesia: The Dark Descent really passes on the horror genre legacy, and it’s filled to the brim with gore.
I doubt Roblox will allow us to add more gore into our games, but it would be very nice if in the future they would allow games to have gore to an extent (of course it would probably have to be explicitly stated everywhere at literally have a flashing warning screen to check the option off if they don’t like that stuff).
what really? oh lol I didn’t know that. (I just linked it from my activitys page and just straight away do that and just leave it I didn’t see anything lol.
Right, if anything the game has been blowing up even more ever since that topic. It now averages about 15-20 daily players and is almost at 10K place visits when last time I believe I mentioned that it only had like 2 thousand and something.
Ya, I though earlier they were adding an age system where you can put an age limit on your game. That could’ve been really helpful and I don’t know if they are still doing it, probably not. But if they let people take horror to an extent (not a large one) than that would be nice. I feel like if you put a warning in a game you should be good to do a little bit more.
