How can I create a sense of scale with planets

I’m currently trying to create a space station orbiting Earth.

What I’m struggling with is making Earth look actually large, as right now it doesn’t look that convincing.

This is how it currently looks

This is what I’m going for

I get that the lighting and stuff can’t be perfect, but is there a way I can convey the size in the same way the above picture does?

give off a blue glow like the reference image does, it makes it look more 3d and round I think

also in the top image, you can almost see 10% of the curvature of the planet
The straighter the horizon line is, the bigger the Sphere looks. you just play with that

I think another thing that makes Earth look larger are the mountains and the depth given from them.

everything when farther away looks smaller. perhaps decrease fov and increase the size of them planet or bring it closer. the shot in the photo is a close up
