How can i create this part/beam effect?

How did they make the cylinder go from like 0.8 transparency to 1 transparency? did they use beams? and if so, how do I make a cylinder beam?

They used Vertex Paint, a Blender feature, and Erase Alpha. Basically, you paint the vertex you want to have that beam effect and change its transparency so it will have that effect :)))

Ellooooo @TheReal_FrostPlayz20!!!

If ya looking for something like this I got 'chu;

Essentially its two attachments, an two beams :"D their segments is set to 115 an essentially their curve size is what helps it warp around to each other attachment perfectly!

If ya want it thicker or thinner simply just play around with the width values of them :"3

Back to the shadows I must go now~! Ta-tA!

The goat strikes again

I always thought this was achieved by using an invisible cylinder with a gradient decal so this is very interesting

Loads of other tricks up sleeve! – just one of them!

Decals could also work! But unfortunetly wont glow D:!!

Actually, i’m pretty sure you could make the decals glow by cranking up the RGB values to stuff higher than 255. It’s a technique i often see in really old freemodel builds or meshes. :wink:
