How can I fix my games lag without deleting anything

Hello, I created a forest but its extremely laggy and I think I know why.

If you look in the top left there are a ton of Parts, but I don’t want to delete any of them. Its so laggy it sometimes crashes when I try to play it. I have no idea what to do. You can try to join it here but u might crash in Roblox The woods - Roblox EDIT the game is now unable to be played for now.

Union the trees, that should reduce parts, it helps for me.
(do not union the leaves with the bark, do them separate)

Well it would take a while to union about 10000 trees but thanks for the feedback.

Use meshes and maybe set renderfidelity to performance, I don’t think you should use unions as they caused lots of lag in my game.

Wow, 10k? That’s quite a lot, you should go with what Luka said instead, because unions are only for low amounts of items. I thought you only had something 1000 trees.

I did use alot of meshes, I also have them set to automatic renderfidelity, but ill try making it set to performance.

If it still lags consider changing up your lighting settings, If you have DOF (Depth of Field) or you are going to use it in the future… I don’t recommend to as It also could cause lots of lag.

I don’t think its the DOF cause when I look at the ton of trees it lags, but when I look away its performing very well at full graphics.

Then consider lowering render distance? possibly making an option to turn off global shadows? I’m not an expert but this could help for sure!

When I get a scripter I might try to get the scripter to script a render distance script, idk if that will work.

The lag is so bad that its unplayable.

With so many parts, you should just turn your graphics down. That’s all I can tell you.

Well when I do that the game is still unplayable, Roblox just crashes when I try to join it. It has to load all of the parts.
