How can I get a decent player base?

I’ve realized there’s another post about this but not specifically about what I’m asking.

I don’t have much of a budget (literally 500 Robux), is there anywhere I could get with that?

If you’ve ever heard of Bedwars that’s what I’m re-creating.

If you want to maintain a good playerbase your game needs a reason for players to keep coming back. The concept shouldn’t repetitive and short, and you should add new updates so the players keep coming back.

What would personally keep you in touch with a game? As of now I’m on the planning stage of the game.

Interactive updates, new maps, things like that.

I’m sorry to say, but 500 Robux will not get you far…

Perhaps 1 good looking thumbnail, but you’d need substantially more if that’s gonna be your budget for the game.10k would be an ideal figure. Your not out of luck though! You can share your upcoming creation through social media. Eg: Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and so on. Just make sure your game is appealing, and has good gameplay.

500 robux can do something though. Take toxicator1and his game for example, he himself even said that his game has 10k players per day although he only invested 500 robux. I did a little experiment with my old project, and I bid 10 robux just for mobile sponsors only. had 17k impressions and 8 clicks. I definitely do think he is going to get somewhere.

Perhaps so, I believe Jailbreak hasn’t even advertised once to this day. However, generally speaking, 500 Robux likely won’t get you on the front page in a Week.

I do think with additional methods of advertising, his game can get somewhere, fortunately though the gaming industry is so competitive now. It’s hard to rise from the bottom without that needed kick start. Like I said, 10k Robux is an ideal figure if you want to slowely rise to the top, and is a good number I find often other developers mention. Including the Founder of Liftoff. Confining with just 500 Robux though, you have alot of competition ahead…

To the OP, like I said, try and share your creation through social media, and create appealing Thumbnails or Logos. Do this yourself if possible, because it won’t cost you!

Hope this helps

Sucks they added a rule that you can’t ask for investors now. Otherwise I’d have most likely have tried to find someone. Then again I have no fail safe if the game fails.

What’s his game? Gonna check it out.

I think its “Teen Titans Go Roleplay” or something.

You can get a decent playerbase from just updating, and not trashy updates.

You need hype!
I’m making a game with a budget of 0 and somehow managed to amassed over 1K players in our Discord. Partner with other servers, set up events, and most importantly, deliver good content. And do it consistently.

You can still find people to invest in games, you just are not allowed to ask or offer investment here.

If you spend around 200 on Roblox ads (make sure they look good). Add max thumbnails, and add a Game icon that looks like it will capture players attention. Make sure your lobby looks good and add a donation option for players to use if they want to support you. That will give you players, and increase your budget so you can further update/advertise the game.

Technically you don’t need robux, but it’s always helpful.

500 should get you a good ad/thumbnail from a cheap GFX artist (maybe, not sure on prices in that area.)

Other than that, release good updates regularly to keep the players coming back, but don’t rush them.

Gammmeeplay loops. They are a way to entice a player to come play and have a reason to come back without new content. Having an active base already is a good step as it means they already have others to interact with - ads.
The end goal is for them to be emotionally envested in the game, it’s why I kept playing GTA till the end and even afterwards.

The game is a loop, you get on teams, build a base to protect your bed, when your bed is destroyed you don’t respawn. Last team standing wins.

damn you really missed out on a huge bag
