How can I get rid of these lines?

Im working on a map and I created these white structures but when you look at it from afar, you also see some lines. How can I get rid of these?

Are each of those lines created by the edges of separate parts? Are you using a texture?

If they are Parts and don’t have Textures like @Crazedbrick1 mentioned what setting are you using with your Move tool in Studio? If you have it unchecked then Parts won’t align to each other depending on the value you put into the Move tool setting.

Another thing, why are you using so many Parts for the wall? You could just put one horizontal Part across the top of the windows and door that fits to the bottom of the 2nd floor windows.

From the picture, those “lines” appear to actually be cracks. How many studs per increment are you using?

I am indeed using parts without textures, but im not quite sure what you mean with settings of the move tool. I am using the building tools by F3X plugin to move, scale and rotate my parts.

yeah, I should get rid of some parts

Yes

No

Why have so many parts for a simple wall though?

I will fix that

But how could I fix it?

You could maybe decrease the amount of parts and scale the parts to form the same wall maybe?
Or it’s just cracks…

Roblox has a tool that allows for this type of stuff. Try searching up “How to use Unions on Roblox,” or read this:

https://developer.roblox.com/en-us/onboarding/building-unique-3d-objects/1

You use fewer parts for the wall. Use the scale tool to stretch parts across.

@Vintage_Jr I wouldn’t recommend unions for a build like that. Parts will work just fine.

right, however, it does save you some extra time (though meshes are the best for optimization)

Okay, but by making the same wall with just fewer parts there are still those lines right? Hm don’t have amazing experiences with unions. Alright thanks

If you align all the parts correctly, you won’t see any lines.

I’m not sure how F3X is set up but in Studio in the Model tab up top there are two settings, Rotate and Move with checkboxes beside them.
If you set the Move tool to 1 and click the checkbox so it isn’t blank then Studio will ‘snap’ Parts against other Parts on a 1 stud scale (or resize by 1 stud increments. If you have a standard 4x1x2 Part and place it on another standard Part it will only sit on 1 stud intervals and align perfectly with the sides and edges.
You can change the Scale to something like .2 if you want to make Parts that are multiples of .2 studs snap to those edges easily.

If you have Parts that are something like 1.415 x 2.578 x 3.921 you will definitely get misalignment because there isn’t any scale that snaps them properly. If you use the Move & Resize tools without the Move tool checkbox clicked then the Parts will resize or move to whatever Position you place the mouse on another Part.

Just for anyone wondering, there are textured parts on the other side of the wall which would ‘leak’ through when looking at it from a larger distance. Thanks everyone for your time

adding onto this, you are using a 0.001 stud increment. this is REALLY bad if you want builds to line up. Start by changing your increment to 0.1, then when you are better possibly to 0.05. Never work at a 0 stud scale distance otherwise this will be the result
