How can I improve my game and retain players for longer?

Hello I am looking for feedback to improve my game. My game Noob Invasion has around 6 million visits however recently it has been declining in players as the game has issues retaining players due to it being unbalanced and boring for some. The game is a wave based survival game where you can level up, fight bosses, and obtain many weapons. The biggest issues I’m facing right now is the game being too hard and boring in the early stages of progression for new players. The problem with this is that if I make the game easier, it may be too easy for high level players. I am trying to find a good system where high level players have somewhat of a challenge and low level players find it easier to progress and they don’t die as much while playing the game. The main problem is I can’t just change the damage value for the enemies since high level players have a lot more health and better equipment/weapons than low level players which makes it hard because most of the time low levels players and high level players are mixed in the same servers. This means that low level players are forced to go against the same enemies the high level players are fighting. The game also does not have enough players for me to simply put them in their own dedicated servers. Another issue I’m having with the game is that is just simply takes too long. Currently, the game has 30 waves each lasting around 100 second and boss coming every 5th wave for a total of 5 bosses, however the problem with this is that it just takes way too long to finish the game (around 50 minutes). I am looking to try to condense the waves down more, maybe to 20 waves. I don’t want to remove any of the bosses from the game, but I don’t want players having to spend 50 minutes getting to the final wave. We are currently preparing to do a overhaul update for the game so any feedback is appreciated. It would be greatly appreciated if you played the game and tell me how you feel. Thank you for reading.

I would recommend finding game testers on the Talent Hub to find bugs and issues in the game. They may offer some valuable feedback about how you can improve your game. You can also observe people playing your game and see if they encounter any difficulties whilst playing (so you can see the leading problems of less active users). By observing them, I mean asking someone in real life to play your game, and seeing if they find anything confusing. Say that you are not the creator of the game, as they are more likely to give unbiased feedback.

This will allow you to see if people are leaving your game because of a lack of interest, or if they are leaving your game because of issues with usability.
