I made a 2 Player Game that requires Voice Chat to play, and I’m having trouble raising my Average Session Time from 2.5 Minutes.
I made sure to make the Obby fairly easy at the start to keep players wanting to play, with clear instructions on how to play, yet my Average Session Time does not increase.
I believe this is because only 24% of Players that join actually link with a player, the other 76% leaving and not playing the game at all, causing a drastic decrease in Average Session Time. I got this info using Funnels:
If anyone does play, what can I do to improve the game? Is it because my Thumbnail or Icon isn’t clear enough that it’s VC only? Open to all criticism, please let me know.
It’s possible that the low player count / small server size is causing people to not immediately find someone they want to link to, causing them to just leave
You can try increasing the server size , if that won’t cause issues performance / functionality wise.
I’d like to but sadly for Voice Chat, even just 4 more players causes Voice Chat to have a massive Delay due to sound/voicechat Memory. If a lot of players play at once, this chart would go up a lot but maybe I can reduce lag with more backend work, but thanks for the input regardless I appreciate it.
Also forgot to mention the reason why the amount of players who link is so low, is because often a lot of players who don’t have Voice Chat will join, see they can’t play, and just leave.
