It’s supposed to resemble a zombie apocalypse but I’m not sure how to make it look/feel that way, any tips would help.
Things I’m planning on adding:
- Zombies that are just idling around.
Any tips/suggestions help!

Implement windows, if you have none because I can’t see anything. Too dark for me to give credible tips.
I’ll add windows, and I made it lighter and removed the cinematics so you can see it better.
Cant see much but if its suppose to be a scene maybe some elements of life such as a survivor camp or a zombie/monster stumbling around, also try some overgrowth (depending on how far in to the apocalypse) to give it that nature taking back the world feel
Do you think it’s possible to add both and if so how should I go about it?
Would a bunch of tents with lamps, guns, etc and zombies idling around work?
I’m not sure what to add as in overgrowth. Could you be more specific?
example of overgrown city however I would dial it back just a smidge, as for the scene part maybe a group of zombies walking towards a survivor camp, depending on the country its based on and gun laws there they could either have fire arms or you could let your creativity flow and create weapons that seem like their thrown together with household items such as a broom handle with a knife taped to it or a bow that looks hand crafted, just things that tell a story of survival and desperation
looks amazing do you plan to make it into a game?
Yeah I plan on making it into a game, thanks!
I would suggest adding more details in general. These can consist of broken walls, overgrown weeds, rust, boarded up windows, etc.
That would be sweet to play ngl
I think all it needs are signs of overgrown vegetation, which heavily hints signs of apocalyptic decay. Cool work!
You’re entirely right in adding color correction, it really does make all the difference. However, functionality of the game is just as important as aesthetics. Make it a tad bit brighter, consider adding a skybox (looks really good without one, but the choice is yours).
Two things to improve your build:-
Windows: As what @LezRowl has said earlier, add windows to your build, because tbh it looks decently good, but on one angle, it looks like a cavemen built hospital
Lights: I like the evening time-zone themed lighting, how about making some street lights and tall lamps around the build to brighten things up. It looks pretty damn dark though
I’ll do this next.
I added these and I’m gonna be adding more soon.
I’ll definitely add street lights, I didn’t think about it before.
It’s a little dark to give tips, but the building looks great it looks like a huge zombie apocalypse map! It really brings back the vibes of zombie series and movies.
you could make vines come from the roof
I think addings more features to windows, like everyone is saying, would help improve it. Here is a quick list:
These may help improve your build!
If you’re gonna add windows, make them cracked. You want the place to look abandoned and creepy for a zombie apocalypse.
I’m not sure how to make it lighter without removing the effect.
I’ll get working on this!
While I’m already working on the other suggestions you gave, this is a new one, thank you and I’ll get to work on it!
First of all, wonderful build and great lighting. I would say that although I really enjoy the dark theme, more ambient light would have a great contrast.
