Ok, so, i’ve made a chase sequence for my horrror game that a ghost chases the player trough a path (The game will take place at a school and this chase sequence takes place at the path to the school to the school gym) and is a very short path so it’s not remarqueble or fun or even scary in any way, i had the idea to make a chase sequence like the doors seek’s one but i think it’s not original enough so i’m asking here to see if anyone was a better idea than mine
Add some events that will cause objects to, e.g., fall over and block the players path - an unexpected event meaning they must rethink their movement, so the stakes are raised, and more interactivity is required.
Have their flashlight, or lights around them, flicker as they are chased to portray an intense atmosphere as they run. Maybe couple this with a lightly shaking screen or creepy sounds to emphasise this atmosphere.
Increase the length of the path so their is a higher incentive to hurry as the creature behind them has longer to catch up to them.
