How can I make a NPC's head follow the player within a certain range?

Title pretty much says it all. I have tried the solution from the post below but what ends up happening for me is that the NPC just starts to violently shake when it tries to look at the character.

Could you show the code that manages the NPC’s head orientation? We can’t really help if there’s no code to base the errors off of

first of all, make sure the primary is not set to the head, if it is set to the head, the entire body will rotate instead of just the head.

second, sometimes using the y axis when setting cframes it can be buggy/glitchy.

What should I set the primary part to sigma?

There is no code as I don’t even know where to start. I guess you can take a look at the code in the post attached.

Either the torso, or HumanoidRootPart :smiling_imp:
