Basically, I’m trying to build something but a common issue that I deal with is parts not lining up properly, and it creates an ugly shadow

To avoid such things, I always work with Snap to Grid and have some fixed “distances” that I enter at “Move” (e.g. 1 studs, 0.5 studs and 0.1 studs). Thereby, you can also first drag your Part to the other Part so that it falls in the same grid and then adjust the size of the Part.
This is how I approach this kind of problem myself. Hopefully it will be of some use to you.
