How can i make decently good looking space ambience?

hi, this is my first post

I want some good advice on how i can make stars, supernovas, anything to do with the space ambient while staying on a place on some sort of earth like planet

also yes, im aware of light pollution that almost hides this beautiful view

Right now i don’t have anything regardless the sun being present in my current project.

My current idea is about little dots that have solar flares as textures and some smoke decals to make this, but i don’t think this is enough to make it look good.

I recommend starting with a skybox, either with a galaxy design already made or more blank. Using particles, trails, and tweens in an open range, you might be able to make some of the details you’d like in the sky. You might also be able to model some bases for these structures in either Studio or Blender.

Depending on game quality, amount of visible particles, and distance from the ground, however, you may be unable to see everything at once.

My project uses a special camera that rotates along the direction of 2 points, being the player’s head and the gravity directional force (as a vector3), a skybox would be great but i need a way to actually make it custom. I have also tried particles and beams to tackle this but i couldn’t find any good images for the supernovas, solar flares, stars on roblox studio

By ‘images’, I’m assuming you’re looking for realistic images of these things. With my particle suggestion, I meant making VFX to replicate these things. (Quick example I made of the sun with solar flare bits shown below)

Didn’t spend much time on it, it was just for an example. But it’s possible to make fully formed VFX that looks like the different celestial objects that you’d like to make. I recommend finding a large decal pack from the Toolbox to use.

This is good, but be aware that particle emitters don’t render far away, but this works if i use it in a different way. I should probably take my good time to review some of the light decals in roblox, if im not satisfied then i’ll probably yoink some of the other images apart from roblox. It would be kind if you shared the assets for the decals you used.

I am aware they don’t render very far away, but i wasn’t very sure of how far you might have them away from the camera.

(I recommend putting it in a folder and then ungrouping the individual sets, since it’s very big)
