How can I make my game more fun + what do you think of it?

Hello, thank you for clicking on my post!

I’d like you to play my game, Sunny and tell me what you think of it! Is it scary? Does it feel unique enough? Is it laggy? Is it easy enough to get the hang of? Do you like the monsters and (for now) the only map? Would you play it again and do you like the UI + Art for the game?

I’m releasing it this month so any feedback is necessary and very much appreciated!

(P.S Sunny is meant to be played with 8 players, keep that in mind if you are playing on your own!)

I like the main menu, but the UI seems a bit… choppy.

Maybe you can smooth out the edges a bit?

Sorry, what exactly do you mean by choppy? Like, low resolution or…?

Yea… its resolution could be a bit better, and it also stands out as if it was bold

cool, that shouldn’t take much time to do

sorry what do you mean? It’s a little unclear

i dont like the thumbnail, It needs to stand out more.

Also the theme song is amazing but its not scary enough, But i really like the how the printer makes papers and sounds, It could work in a horror game, And also the starting cutscene is just boring maybe you should add more to the cutscene, and I like the idea of the game doe, its like piggy but with a new like night vision kind of mechanic, But the problem is that the fog dosent change the game since you can use it forever and the fog dosent really do anything, You should just make it have a cooldown

Edit: The icon is even worse then the thumbnail and the icon should have only 1 character

I mean it seems a bit too… bright compared to the background

Thanks for your feedback

Thank you so much :D. I think it matches the main menu + even if I wanted to remake it, I couldn’t, because a friend made it for me for free and I wouldn’t have the skills to redo it myself.

Do you have any suggestions for some improvements I could do?

I’m not fully sure of what you don’t like about the fog exactly, but I would not add a cooldown. See, if you add a cooldown, then you won’t have any way to know if the monster is approaching you. The main point of the monster vision is to keep you on edge by forcing you to decide if you wanna progress or watch your back.

As with the thumbnail, what would you do to improve it?

I don’t want to make it longer, as it would get annoying to have to sit through every round.

Thank you so much !
Your feedback was good, thank you

I thought the mechanic only made you see the monster, Turns out it also hides the keys, Also the thumbnail/icon needs to have only 1 character, I think the backround also needs to be darker. Also maybe remove the bevel and emboss filter it dosent really look good in my opinion.

Thanks! I was partially inspired by the theme of that show. Glad you liked it

Was that too unclear? Should I add a tooltip that explains that with maybe a help button above the button?

Here are some older versions of the thumbnail

(The first two are from before the game went through a redesign btw, just showing them for more examples)

I didn’t like these thumnails as much, because they don’t stand out as much on the website, mainly because they’re mainly one color, and the older two were too hard to understand at a first glance.
