How can i make my interiors more appealing?

Hello! I am trying to make a very light sci-fi bunkery feel, and i feel i’ve gotten that down in some of my hallways, but can’t find out how to make them look… good.
Here’s some of the hallways… very empty

I’m also not sure how to get started building actual rooms for the bunker. I’ve thought about how to make them look nice, but this is as far as i’ve gotten…

Anyone have ideas?

I like using random decorations to make my interior look better. For an instance, you can use barrels, cases, trash, random broken weapons and stuff that fits with your theme. For Sci Fi builds you can use futuristic metal supports to make your build look better/more realistic. Hope this helps!

I might put some cases and barrels and stuff around. Still not quite sure how to make a good room layout for a room dedicated to something, though… i made these 2 empty rooms so far.

I want to make them look more industrial but staying semi-scifi… Not sure how those two mix. Will search around

You should consider adding states of materials such as deterioration like dust or other small things every thing has, yet most important add signage, cables, pipes, vents, decorative things such as posters and control panels (which could also immersive with a small functionality such as a small beep), yet AVOID overcrowding. Puting an area full of pipes and cables, dust placed everywhere isnt more appealing or detailing, its basically a badly designed structure thats just eye clutter, UNLESS, your game is a more industrial feeling which makes sense

Lighting also plays a major role, I see your construction has orange and white lighting variating which depends on your theme, I guess for a more clinical feeling white is best than the calid and accomodating orange.

The sizing of the room you are making is also very important. The last room im seeing from yours is a massive room that is empty. I really cant think of much usage except a cafeteria, a library yet pillars can be added in a way that it makes it feel more appropiate in wide spaces.

The map is built in “sectors”, where different people would be working. The orange-yellow lighting is a more industrial maintenance area, while the whiter area is leaning more towards clean sci-fi- Corporate maybe? I dunno the word.

How should i make dust? Decals on invisible parts? I’m quite new to interior design and this is my first big project, i’ve mostly just made terrain maps…

Yes, transparent decals. Find in the toolbox things such as dust or minor wall cracks in a low transparency

The industrial hallway is looking quite a bit better with the hallway clutter from @Turtletrooper12 and the pipes & dust from @toomanynighhts. Still has some work to be done though

However… I’m gonna need to find out what to do for the cleaner area. I’ve made the industrial props and gotten used to dusting things, now i need to figure out what to put in the more science-y looking area…
I’ve thought about some kind of office-plant looking stuff but i’m not very good at making natural looking stuff in this style
