These past weeks I have been making a mystery/story/discovery game that involves the player to hunt for clues and find out the why this place has been deserted. That’s the idea anyways. I honestly don’t know if people would be interested in such a game so I thought I would ask you guys if you could check the game out and see if such a game could get an audience. And if this game could potentially get an audience how could I make it stand out?
Disclaimer, the game is not finished, but there is just enough in the game to get an idea of what it could become. Any feedback is much appreciated!
If you’re asking regarding commercial value, the game needs to be much better.
There is no incentive to play longer.
You spawn at a path with nothing really attractive or to hook players.
The builds aren’t that good and could be more appealing.
Maybe more UI things to make the screen more interesting as its just a walking simulator.
I also didn’t even know there was a goal until I read the message again. I think the frog wasn’t that helpful because I just couldn’t stand waiting there and letting the frog finish talking.
You could and should definitely improve the UI and make the game more appealing like having an actual direction and identifiable purpose in your game.
I haven’t played the game but took a look at the page.
How you have described your game and the actual description don’t match up. Reading the page description sounds like a futuristic farming sim rather than a mystery/discovery type game.
If you want to market it to a mystery/story seeking audience they may not be hooked enough to even try it out.
Haven’t played the game but looking at the description, there’s nothing to even do. Everything is already there for you, so why would I want to play basically a showcase game?
Hi, I think that this game could have good potential. Adding clear clues, objectives, and maybe even some survival aspects (farming, water) as well as conflict (why am I here? How do I get back home before I run out of supplies? for example) could make the game more engaging and incite players to keep coming back.
