maybe you use the select and fill terrain option and then subtract and smooth?
The shoreline of your riverbank has too steep of a drop off. Utilize the smoothing tool to create more of a ‘V’ shape.
Think about real-life waterways and implement those characteristics. There isn’t typically a 90 degree drop off from the shore to the riverbed, right?
Use “part to terrain” method. This works better than smoothing tool
