How can I make this shape in ROBLOX?

Hi!

I’m currently trying to make this shape in roblox, it’s sort of like a gum drop shape but I’m really confused on how to go about it. I tried using a cylinder and then one bigger cylinder and then using gapfill to fill them in but gapfill sadly doesn’t work on cylinders. Any help?

Seems kinda simple just can’t figure it out.

Oh and here’s a pic of what shape I’m trying to make

gumdrop

Help would be appreciated!

Cheers, and God bless!

Im not that experienced in roblox building but have you tried Blender?
And making it a mesh

Yeah I was thinking about trying blender but I just find it so complicated. I get really discouraged when I see all the other cool builds people build in blender and then I look at mine and it’s just meh, I guess I shouldn’t be a perfectionist but I find it hard to learn and stay motivated in blender.

Want me to make it for you?

Using a cylinder and then using union and negate for the outside with blocks that our slightly tilted all around the object (cylinder). (I’m not very good at explaining things so I’m not sure if this helps.)

That would be nice yea but I feel like I should try to achieve making it, I’m not entirely sure where to start though, the main thing in blender I kinda lack is focus, I get distracted easily. Plus usually when I don’t do something right or can’t figure out how to make the shape after watching a tutorial it’s frustrating.

But like the main thing in blender is yknow after using roblox for a long time it’s hard to shift to it and try new things, I find it hard to learn the controls rather than like what I’m making more.

oh thats an easy thing to make in blender.
*You start with a cylinder
*Make a few edge loops
*Resize some edge loops
Done

might not be the most helpful tutorial in hindsight

Ohh yeah I actually was watching a tutorial and it explained edge loops pretty easily, I’ve got it in my notes and I’ll go try that! I’ll update you on the results, thanks man!

Nice work. May I recommend for quick Blender tutorials and learning, watch @Natalie_Clabo on YouTube. She streams oftenly and as she’s modelling, explains her thought process and she has many tutorials on there. <3

If you want to make it with studio, here’s how:

1 - Since you can’t gapfill cylinders, create a cylindrical shape out of regular parts with Archimedes 2. Insert a part and then just choose the face, desired angle, and click on ‘render circle’.
2 - Duplicate your parts, move it up, and scale it down a preferable amount with any choice of scaling tool
3 - Gapfill between those segments. You can delete your original parts afterwards once you have the gapfilled shape.

The less sharp the angle, or the shorter in length your parts are, the smoother the shape will be.
