I made this roof out of unionized ball parts. I think they work well as roof shingles. the problem is that they cause immense frame drops. how can I optimize it to stop frame loss?
Hi, @W_aev, the unions are most likely causing the frame drop. They make unnecessary triangles and mess up the hitboxes. An excellent way to optimize your roof would be to replace it with a mesh made in Blender. In Blender, you can use the Decimate modifier to reduce the triangle count.
If no one will be touching the roof, you can turn of the parts’ CanCollide and CanTouch properties.
