A lot of people have confirmed that disabling chat from your privacy settings prevent crosswoods from affecting you, but I haven’t tested it out myself, so I can’t 100% confirm.
You can disable the chat if you wanna risk it a little bit.
If you’re very cautious, try joining on an alt as @XxPhyco1 said, but be careful because this also may terminate your main account due to Roblox’s flawed alt detection system.
Turning off your chat may be the best way in my opinion. If you want to be extra careful you could perhaps join the game on an alt. Always record for evidence that the game banned you just in case.
I don’t think asking for game files would work out because even if they’re trying to ban you or if they’re legitimate developers it sounds like as if you’re trying to steal their game.
Also what if I make an alt on a public wifi (like a library ) I’m logging in never on my main or Anny devices would that protect me or will that ban everyone who loged into that wifi
What services they use to send that massages i could test it out on a save way by just checking if there can be still send massages if you disable communication
They said that 3 months ago, and we were surprised to know that they’re aware of the incident.
Throughout these three months, almost every crosswoods incident on Reddit was successfully appealed.
Yes, that should protect your main account. You can use the alt account on a completely different WIFI or IP.
But be sure to delete your browser cookies as well as your app cookies before playing the game on your alt account.
And also, make sure that the alt account DOES NOT have any connections with your main account. Like for example, don’t use a username that is similar to your main account’s username. Don’t use the same birth of date. Don’t use the same password. Don’t use the same gender, etc.
Briefly, clear your cookies on your browser and app, then create an alt account that is not connected to your main, then disable communication on that alt and try joining games you’re asked to join.
This will most likely protect your main account, but it doesn’t ensure that it will be protected, so please do this at your own risk.
I can assure you this game is safe. I played it on my alt account and nothing has gone wrong (and I’m still playing the game at the moment of speaking. Nothing happening)
I knew this game is safe when I first joined it, because I saw the chat button visible.
Crosswoods creators try to hide the chat button so that you don’t see what the chat is actually saying on behalf of you.
Use this as a tip. When you play a fan’s game and see that it doesn’t have the chat button visible, PRESS ALT + F4 IMMEDIATELY.
And if the game is taking too much time to load, force close the game right away.
It’s a fake loading screen, and they used it to distract you from noticing what messages appear above the player.
