Hello, i’m developing a FPS game for a time ago (since ~dezember 2023) and i’m trying to publicise it, i tried to do posts (like on reddit, discord and here) and even recently a promo video edit, and after that all i’ve only got 90 playes that ever entered on the game sometime.
I would like to ask here how can i promote my game effectively, I’d apreciate if anyone give me some tips to it and how to improve my game.

The frame rate of the game is consistently low with occasional lag spikes. There was a lag spike right when my character spawned into the game and later when I tried grabbing an ammo pack from one of the sniper towers near the Blue Stars base. I had my graphics set to 1 the whole time.
The team select menu that appears before your character spawns into the game doesn’t seem to work. I tried selecting Red Trees and it still spawned me on Blue Stars. The team change menu that appears in the top left when your character has actually spawned works fine though.
On a similar note to the above, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to have the initial team select menu kill your character because that adds a death to the leaderboard (maybe just use player :LoadCharacter() instead).
I noticed that spawning on the Red Trees team gives your character a red armband. I’m pretty sure that this goes against ToS because of how those armbands were used in World War II, so I suggest changing it if you want to keep your game safe from moderation.
thanks for the analysis, I think you’re right about using kill when selecting a team is not a good idea, this game is my first project and the codes are still disjointed in certain parts.
I think I’ll change the colours of the red armbands to purple, to avoid resemblance to WW2 armbands.
The lagspikes I’m still trying to adjust and understand where they come from, but since the first version of the game I’ve improved them a lot.
