the map is huge and it would take hours to paint the snow manually,is there any plugin that can help? I am trying to make my map as lively as possible,so i am changing the seasons on it according to the northern hemisphere season. Changing the grass’ colour to white is not a good solution because it looks rather gray than white. The terrain converter plugin doesn’t seem to work.
well,i mentioned that the plugin doesn’t help.
Terrain plugins are often buggy and lagged, resulting in something that messes up alot and doesnt’ work. The amount of research and searching you are going to do to find a plugin is just as much as somebody else would trying to answer this question for you.
For that reason, I see it best that you just hire someone to do the terrain-work for you, if your funds support it. There are several people that are thirsty for robux, and will spend time on a task doing so.
If you are afraid that they won’t do it correctly, or as you would, or possible steal your map then I suggest that you take this map into a more realistic feature as the real-world is and have the snow graduate as December grows. This means, each day you add a little bit more snow and wintery feel, so that your environment is changing with the actual environment we are in.
There really isn’t any-way around this, however, I do recommend saving this terrain before you add snow, and then duplicating the game when you start to add the snow so that way when the seasons recycle, you won’t be having to do this all over again.
Best,

I’m not too familiar with terrain but a quick look at the developerhub showed me this function found here: Terrain | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
Terrain:ReplaceMaterial(Region3, Resolution, MaterialYouWantToChange, MaterialYouWantToUse)
How you go about implementing that would be up to you, maybe a large part you use to represent a region3. You may also be able to use the MaxExtents property of terrain to get the region3. Something like this could be ran in the command line.
i think i am just going to add isolated patches of snow and ice in sheltered areas and hard rime on the lee side of some objects,in order to simulate an area with very strong winds.
