Hi everyone,
I’m running into persistent attachment placement errors when uploading a bundle to the Marketplace, and I’m looking for help understanding what’s going wrong.
I created a bundle following the official Roblox guidelines, and it works perfectly when tested in StarterPlayer. Layered clothing and accessories behave as expected. However, when I try to upload the bundle, I constantly get errors stating that attachment positions are invalid.
Even though I’ve placed the attachments in the correct positions according to documentation, once the model is imported into Roblox Studio, the attachments appear in strange, offset locations. Editing each one manually in Studio to fix it feels inefficient and defeats the purpose of precise placement in modeling tools like Blender or Maya.
What makes it more confusing:
- Modeling tools use cm, but Roblox uses studs, making it hard to predict values.
- Even when I freeze transforms before export, attachments end up with unpredictable coordinates in Studio.
- Even the FBX files provided officially by Roblox throw the same attachment errors, which makes me wonder what “valid placement” actually means.
In short, the logic behind attachment position validation seems unclear. Also, importing FBX files resets or distorts placement, rendering modeling tool setups meaningless.
How are other creators managing this process? Is there a correct, recommended workflow for placing attachments that aligns perfectly with Studio validation?
Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
